The Tetley is a distinctive historic venue in Leeds occupying the former headquarters of Joshua Tetley & Son, the famous Leeds brewing company. The building represents an important part of the city's industrial and brewing heritage and occupies a prominent position on Hunslet Road, close to the city centre and the developing Aire Park area. The brewery closed in 2011, after which the building was transformed into a contemporary arts and cultural venue. The current operation has now moved into a new phase under Kirkstall Brewery, which has taken on the lease and is developing The Tetley as a destination for conferencing, events, food and drink. The current venue offers bespoke packages for private celebrations and corporate functions. The official events information states that private and social events can cater for 10–120 people, while corporate events can accommodate 18–180 people. Corporate uses specifically include meetings, networking events and product launches. The venue also operates as a pub and restaurant, offering British pub food, Sunday roasts and a drinks programme featuring locally brewed beers, including beers from Kirkstall Brewery. The combination of industrial heritage, contemporary event use, food and drink and its central Leeds location makes The Tetley particularly suitable for corporate gatherings, networking, celebrations, launches and informal private events.
