Leeds Town Hall places us at the heart of the city within one of West Yorkshire's most significant historic civic buildings. Designed by architect Cuthbert Brodrick and opened by Queen Victoria in 1858, our Grade I listed building was created as an imposing civic centre and has since become an important destination for concerts, cultural programmes, conferences and special events.
Our principal event space, Victoria Hall, provides a spectacular setting dominated by the Town Hall's historic organ. The auditorium can accommodate approximately 1,200 guests in a theatre-style arrangement and up to around 1,300 for receptions, giving us one of Leeds' largest heritage event spaces. We also have smaller rooms suitable for meetings, conferences, workshops, receptions and private functions.
Our programme has included major musical performances, concerts, comedy, film screenings, festivals, conferences and civic occasions. Leeds Town Hall has also played an important role in the Leeds International Concert Season, Leeds International Film Festival and Leeds International Piano Competition.
We offer something considerably different from a conventional conference or hotel venue. Our grand Victorian architecture, impressive auditorium and central Leeds location create an atmosphere particularly suited to events where heritage, scale and presentation matter.
Whether you are organising a major concert, conference, reception, cultural programme or civic occasion, Leeds Town Hall provides a memorable setting within one of the city's most recognisable landmarks.
