Make your event part of the experience at the National Science and Media Museum, a unique venue in the heart of Bradford dedicated to the science, technology and culture of image and sound. As part of the Science Museum Group, our collections span photography, film, television, animation, gaming and sound, creating an atmosphere unlike a conventional conference or hotel setting. Following a £6 million transformation, we reopened in January 2025 with refreshed galleries and visitor experiences. Our event spaces range from impressive reception areas to fully equipped cinemas and immersive exhibition environments. The Foyer provides an open-plan setting with a striking glazed façade for dinners, receptions and exhibitions, while Pictureville offers 300 seats, a large stage and professional cinema projection and sound for presentations, awards and performances. For smaller or more experiential events, Cubby Broccoli Cinema, Wonderlab, Sound and Vision and the Kodak Gallery provide distinctive alternatives, with spaces also available to combine. Supported by dedicated event management, RA Venues catering, AV facilities and accessible infrastructure, we host conferences, launches, networking events, dinners, screenings, exhibitions, awards and receptions in an environment designed to make every event memorable.
The museum Foyer features a spectacular glazed façade and a spacious, open-plan layout. It is ideal for prestigious sit-down dinners, large exhibitions, and standing drink receptions. The space includes dynamic LED color-wash branding options and integrated greeting screens.
The luxurious Pictureville Cinema provides a premier auditorium space tailored for large corporate presentations, award ceremonies, and live stage performances. This world-class venue comes equipped with advanced 4K digital projection systems, immersive sound staging, and comprehensive high-speed Wi-Fi infrastructure.
The interactive Wonderlab gallery allows guests to get hands-on with light and sound science. It serves as a creative backdrop for unconventional corporate functions, holiday parties, and evening drink receptions where attendees can explore mind-bending experiential exhibits.
The Kodak Gallery chronicles the historic timeline of popular photography, providing an elegant backdrop. Featuring a unique, vintage Victorian-style drawing room vibe, this gallery offers an opulent setting perfect for intimate sit-down dinners or upscale, sophisticated standing cocktail receptions.
Named after the legendary James Bond film producer, the Cubby Broccoli Cinema is an intimate screening venue. It features a smaller layout specifically optimized for private business meetings, exclusive independent film previews, educational presentations, and corporate media launches.
The vibrant Games Lounge showcases the evolution of video gaming history. Packed with playable retro consoles and classic arcade favorites, it acts as an entertaining and highly nostalgic backdrop well-suited for informal evening social gatherings and team-building receptions.
