Hillside is a conference, enterprise and community venue on Beeston Road in South Leeds, approximately one mile south of Leeds city centre. The venue occupies a refurbished Grade II-listed former school building, retaining much of its historic character while incorporating modern meeting, office and event facilities. The building was originally constructed as Beeston Hill Board School in the nineteenth century and was later redeveloped by Tiger11, a community-focused social enterprise. Hillside combines meeting and conference facilities with serviced offices, business support, community activities, catering and other facilities. Its location provides convenient access to Leeds city centre and the M621, while on-site parking and public transport links make it practical for visiting delegates. The venue has multiple meeting rooms ranging from very small rooms for four people to the main Hall, which is the largest event space. Current Cvent information lists seven meeting rooms, with the Hall accommodating up to 130. Other venue directories give higher historical figures, including 150 theatre-style and 200 standing. Facilities include AV equipment, Wi-Fi, catering, accessible facilities, parking, business lounge areas and a café/restaurant. The venue also has a nursery/crèche, making it particularly community-oriented.
Hillside Hall is the venue's principal large event space, suitable for conferences, presentations, training, community events, performances and larger private functions. The room combines the character of the historic building with modern AV facilities. Its flexible layout makes it the strongest option at Hillside for larger gatherings.
Millshaw is a medium-sized meeting and conference room suitable for training, workshops, presentations and business meetings. It can accommodate up to 48 people in theatre-style arrangements and approximately 20 in boardroom configuration, making it a practical option for medium-sized corporate and community events.
Holbeck is a smaller business meeting room designed for focused discussions, workshops, training and team meetings. Its boardroom-style capacity of approximately 20 makes it suitable for organisations seeking a private professional space without requiring the larger Hall or Millshaw room.
Beeston is a flexible medium-sized room suitable for presentations, training, meetings and small conferences. Its published capacity reaches 40 theatre-style, while the boardroom configuration accommodates approximately 16. It provides a useful intermediate option between the smaller rooms and the principal Hall.
West Hunslet is a compact meeting room designed for small business and community gatherings. It can accommodate up to 24 people theatre-style and approximately 16 boardroom-style. The space is suitable for workshops, interviews, training, consultations and small team meetings requiring a private environment.
Cross Flatts is one of Hillside's smaller meeting rooms, providing a private setting for compact groups. It can accommodate up to 18 people theatre-style and approximately 12 in boardroom configuration. It is appropriate for interviews, consultations, small workshops, team meetings and community activities.
Parkside is the smallest listed meeting space at Hillside and is intended for very small groups. Its four-person boardroom capacity makes it appropriate for interviews, one-to-one meetings, consultations and confidential business discussions where a compact professional environment is required.
