Whirlow Hall Farm Trust

Whirlow Hall Farm Trust is a distinctive working-farm events venue situated on Whirlow Lane in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The 138-acre farm is operated by an educational charity established in 1979 and provides outdoor educational and developmental experiences for children and young people. Revenue from events and weddings contributes to the Trust's charitable work. The venue has a particularly rustic character and is best known for its Lambing Barn, which provides the principal event space. The farm hosts a limited number of weddings each year, generally during selected weekends from mid-May to mid-September. Current wedding information gives capacity of approximately 100–250 guests, with dining capacity of 250 and reception capacity of 200 in one current listing. The venue provides a very different proposition from conventional hotels and conference centres: its appeal lies in its countryside setting, working-farm environment, timber-framed barn, outdoor spaces and informal atmosphere. The farm can also host family events, parties, seasonal activities and community events. Facilities include the Lambing Barn, surrounding garden/outdoor area, on-site parking, catering/bar facilities for weddings, sound-system capability and disabled access. The farm also has a 100-seat Barn Café, shop, livestock areas, growing spaces, playground and extensive outdoor grounds.
