The West Mill

Set within the historic Darley Abbey Mills, The West Mill gives us a distinctive four-floor setting for exclusive-use weddings in a beautifully restored Grade I Listed former cotton-spinning mill. Our riverside location beside the River Derwent combines original industrial architecture with modern wedding facilities. The day can flow naturally through our different spaces, beginning in the Dressing Room before moving to the Cotton Quarter for the ceremony, The Gallery for drinks and canapés, the Breakfast Floor for the wedding breakfast and The Spinning Room for the evening celebration. Outside, our south-facing courtyard, garden and riverside walkway provide additional spaces for drinks, photographs and relaxed moments throughout the day. We also provide on-site accommodation at The Mill House, with eight ensuite bedrooms and a newlywed suite. With exclusive use from 11am to 12:30am, we offer couples the opportunity to enjoy the whole venue as their own wedding setting.
