Bradford Cathedral is a historic event and cultural venue situated on Stott Hill in the centre of Bradford. We incorporate medieval fabric and have served as a place of Christian worship for centuries, while today also functioning as a venue for concerts, conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, dinners, community gatherings and other cultural activities. Our official venue-hire operation identifies four core bookable spaces: the main Nave, Chapter House, de Lacy Centre and Cathedral grounds. The Nave is our principal event space and provides a distinctive historic setting featuring stone vaulting, stained glass and an oak roof. We state that the Nave can accommodate approximately 480 seated guests, while current external venue information gives up to 600 standing. The Chapter House is a 45-square-metre meeting room for up to 20 people and includes its own screen, computer, microphone, small kitchen and toilet. The de Lacy Centre is a self-contained flexible event space in the Cathedral grounds, suitable for meetings, workshops, company away days and medium-sized gatherings, with capacity for 50. We also offer free Wi-Fi, projectors, screens, professional sound equipment, microphones, live-streaming, a customisable stage, catering facilities and event staffing. Accessibility includes flat access from Stott Hill, internal ramps and a hearing loop.
The Nave is Bradford Cathedral's principal and largest event space. Its historic stone vaulting, stained glass and oak roof provide a distinctive setting for concerts, conferences, dinners, civic occasions and large gatherings. The Cathedral states that it can accommodate approximately 480 seated guests, while external venue listings give up to 600 standing.
The de Lacy Centre is a self-contained event and meeting facility located within the Cathedral grounds. It has a flexible main floor, larger kitchen and two toilets and is designed for meetings, workshops, company away days, film showings and medium-sized gatherings. It provides a separate environment from the main Cathedral.
The Chapter House is a compact meeting and workshop room within the Cathedral. Measuring approximately 45 square metres, it accommodates up to 20 people and includes its own screen, computer, microphone, flipchart, small kitchen and toilet. It is particularly suitable for meetings, workshops and hybrid/online conferences.
The Cathedral grounds provide an outdoor event environment surrounding the historic building. The grounds can be hired for outdoor events and provide a distinctive setting for community activities, receptions, performances and other temporary events.
