The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) is an independent co-educational school located at Alwoodley Gates on Harrogate Road in north Leeds. It has a long educational history incorporating the heritage of Leeds Grammar School and Leeds Girls’ High School, with the school's history tracing back to 1552. In addition to its educational role, the school makes a broad range of facilities available for external events and venue hire. Our venue provides a particularly diverse combination of conference, meeting, performance, sports and social-event spaces. Published venue information identifies nine meeting/event spaces, with capacities ranging from small boardroom meetings through to 600-person events. The Sports Hall can accommodate up to 600 people in reception/theatre-type configurations, while the Assembly Hall has a published theatre capacity of 500. The Theatre Foyer can accommodate up to 300 theatre-style guests and the Refectory up to 250 for banqueting. The Grammar School at Leeds is marketed for children's parties, weddings, indoor concerts, corporate training seminars, conferences, exhibitions, private parties, networking events and gala dinners.
