We are Battersea Arts Centre, a historic and creative events venue on Lavender Hill, housed in the former Battersea Town Hall. Our Grand Hall Suite combines the elegant Octagonal Hall with our distinctive Grand Hall, creating a memorable setting for receptions, dinners, galas, awards and large gatherings. Beyond the Grand Hall, we offer flexible spaces including the Council Chamber, Members’ Bar, Courtyard, New Committee Room, Lower Hall and Elm House. Our building also supports rehearsals through spaces such as Studio One, the Members’ Bar and Lower Hall. We provide in-house technical support, catering and bar options, while our historic architecture and varied rooms allow us to accommodate both intimate meetings and larger celebrations. We are also well connected by public transport, with Clapham Junction around a seven-minute walk away.

Grand Hall

We offer the Grand Hall as our principal large event space, with a dramatic restored interior and capacity for up to 600 theatre-style or 800 standing.

Members’ Bar

Our Members’ Bar is a flexible event, rehearsal and performance space accommodating up to 80 seated. It can also be configured with an 80-capacity seating rake, PA and lighting facilities.

Council Chamber

Our Council Chamber is a large, flexible historic space suitable for performances, conferences and events, with capacity of up to 146 seated and 200 standing.

Lower Hall

Our Lower Hall is a private suite centred around a large rehearsal/event space, with breakout areas, production office, kitchen and bathrooms. It also has a private entrance and sprung dance floor.

New Committee Room

Our New Committee Room is a bright, flexible room for meetings, workshops, rehearsals and auditions, accommodating up to 30 people. It can also connect with the Members’ Bar as a breakout space.

Elm House

Our Elm House is a bright ground-floor meeting room beside the main entrance. It accommodates up to 8 people and is designed particularly for small meetings.
