Leeds Beckett University provides a diverse portfolio of conference, meeting, educational, sporting and event spaces across its City and Headingley campuses in Leeds. Rather than operating as a single conventional conference centre, the university offers a collection of buildings and specialist spaces that can be configured for conferences, meetings, seminars, lectures, exhibitions, receptions, training programmes, sporting events and other organised activities. One of its most recognisable city-centre facilities is The Rose Bowl, which houses Leeds Business School and provides teaching spaces, lecture halls and conference facilities. The building is also home to the university's Knowledge Exchange, which provides smaller professional meeting and collaboration spaces. The university also has specialist event infrastructure at Headingley Campus. Its sports facilities can accommodate substantial sporting and non-sporting events; for example, Arena 2 can seat more than 500 spectators and can be opened up to connect with Arena 1 to create a considerably larger indoor event environment. Leeds Beckett has also previously operated dedicated conference facilities at Cloth Hall Court, a city-centre Grade II listed building that was redeveloped as a conference and events venue with 10 rooms and capacity for up to 300 delegates.
The Knowledge Exchange at The Rose Bowl is a professional city-centre collaboration facility providing several small meeting and innovation spaces. It includes a glass boardroom pod for 10, an Innovation Design Space for eight, two private six-person meeting rooms and a four-person informal meeting room.
The Stage is a legendary live entertainment venue run by the Students' Union with a capacity of 1,000 guests. Equipped with professional sound and lighting systems, this energetic space hosts everything from touring rock bands to massive themed student club nights. It offers an electric atmosphere for high-profile gigs and public parties.
Arena 1 is a multi-sport indoor gymnasium. It features a full wooden floor, professional basketball hoops, and a large setup of purple spectator bleachers. The court is marked for basketball, netball, and badminton tournaments.
Arena 2 and the adjacent Sports Halls are heavily utilized for volleyball, futsal, and indoor training. These spaces feature high-clearance ceilings, professional net setups, and shock-absorbing flooring built for quick movements and safety.
The Leeds School of Arts at City Campus contains specialist performance and production infrastructure, including performance spaces, recording studios, production suites, dubbing theatres and acoustics testing laboratories. These facilities have been used for conferences and academic events, including international conferences hosted by Leeds Beckett University.
Just outside the indoor arenas sits the ultra-modern, £45 million Carnegie School of Sport building, featuring a distinct cantilevered rooftop design alongside a professional 8-lane outdoor running track and a specialized indoor athletics straight.
