Bolling Hall Museum

@bbqc13

Bolling Hall Museum is one of Bradford's oldest surviving buildings and is situated approximately one mile south of Bradford city centre on Bowling Hall Road. We contain architectural elements dating back to medieval times and present more than 500 years of local history through our furnished rooms, collections and exhibitions. We were historically associated with the Bolling and Tempest families and played a role during the English Civil War, when we served as a Royalist stronghold during the Siege of Bradford. Today, we operate as a museum managed by Bradford District Museums & Galleries, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore period rooms, historic furniture, local stories and exhibitions. Our character makes us substantially different from conventional commercial conference or wedding venues: we are primarily a heritage and cultural venue, with event activity centred around museum programming, educational activities, historical events and organised group visits. Our current 2026 programming includes family activities, outdoor games and historical-themed events, demonstrating that we remain an active cultural venue. Free parking and disabled access add practical advantages for organised visits.
