Victoria Hall is a historic multi-purpose events venue located on Norfolk Street in the heart of Sheffield city centre's Theatre District. Our building has a long association with concerts, community activity, conferences and gatherings, and today operates as a flexible venue offering more than 15 rooms and four halls. Its central location places it within walking distance of Sheffield railway station and major city-centre public transport connections. Our principal event space is the Main Hall, which can accommodate up to 450 people and retains distinctive historic architectural features. Its acoustics make it particularly suitable for musical and choral performances, while its flexible layout also supports conferences, meetings and larger gatherings. Smaller options include the Upper Hall, Lower Hall, Waddington Room and three compact meeting rooms. Victoria Hall provides Wi-Fi, projectors, screens, screencasting, flipcharts, stationery and technical support. Catering can be arranged through local Sheffield catering companies, with dietary requirements accommodated. The Main Hall has flat access from Norfolk Street, an accessible toilet and ramped access to the ground-floor seating area. Other bookable rooms are accessible by lift and have accessible toilets available on their floors.
The Main Hall is Victoria Hall's largest and most distinctive event space. Opened in 1907, it retains historic architectural features and has strong acoustics for musical performances. Its flexible capacity of up to 450 makes it suitable for conferences, concerts, performances, large meetings, ceremonies and community or corporate gatherings.
The Upper Hall is a first-floor meeting and event room featuring a polished floor, stained-glass windows and kitchen facilities. It provides a more intimate alternative to the Main Hall and can accommodate up to 100 people depending on configuration. The space is suitable for conferences, meetings, training and gatherings.
The Lower Hall is a flexible meeting and event room accommodating up to approximately 80 people. It offers a smaller-scale alternative to Victoria Hall's Main and Upper Halls and can be configured according to event requirements. It is suitable for meetings, training, seminars, workshops, community gatherings and smaller functions.
Rooms 49, 50 and 51 are recently refurbished small meeting rooms located along the same corridor. They provide flexible hourly hire and are suitable for interviews, meetings, holding rooms, training and small groups. Their proximity also allows several rooms to be booked together when an event requires breakout or parallel spaces.
The Waddington Room is a smaller third-floor meeting and training space with natural daylight. It is particularly popular with training providers and provides a warm, focused environment for courses, meetings and smaller conferences. The room is fully accessible by lift and is suited to groups requiring a quieter dedicated workspace.
