Fairbank Wedding Barn is our rustic Lake District wedding venue set on a traditional working farm surrounded by 370 acres of private countryside. We offer couples exclusive use of our beautiful rural setting, giving them the freedom to create their wedding day in their own style. Our venue centres around a traditional stone barn with exposed wooden beams and lime-rendered walls, providing a flexible blank canvas for decoration. We have a separate Ceremony Barn, courtyard, gardens, licensed bar and extensive outdoor areas, while our on-site country house provides accommodation for up to 10 guests. We can welcome weddings of up to 150 guests, with smaller celebrations also easily accommodated. Our lawn is licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies, and our private 12-acre tarn provides an additional scenic setting for photographs. We provide tables, chairs, glassware, lighting, heating, bar staff and on-the-day coordination. With no restrictions on suppliers, we give couples the flexibility to personalise their celebration.

Main Wedding Barn

Our Main Wedding Barn is a traditional stone barn with exposed wooden beams and white lime-rendered walls. We welcome up to 150 guests and provide a flexible space for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts.

Ceremony Barn

Our Ceremony Barn provides a charming setting for civil ceremonies, seating up to 120 guests. We give couples the flexibility to hold their ceremony here before moving into the Main Barn.

Courtyard and Gardens

Our courtyard and gardens provide outdoor areas for ceremonies, photographs, drinks and relaxed moments throughout your celebration. We include these spaces as part of our exclusive-use wedding package.

Private Tarn

Our private 12-acre tarn is around a 15-minute walk across the fields from the venue. We can transport you and your photographer there for peaceful photographs and memorable countryside views.
