Mara Safari Lodge Kidepo is a safari lodge positioned approximately 1 km from the main Kalokudu Gate of Kidepo Valley National Park. The property sits within a 24-acre estate at the foot of a rock formation known as Sun-downer, surrounded by savannah landscape and views across the Kidepo Valley. Its location combines accommodation with access to game drives, hiking, bird watching, cultural experiences and other activities associated with Kidepo. The lodge uses locally sourced and sustainably harvested materials throughout its accommodation, including timber used for roofing poles, beds, wardrobes and balcony structures. Guest accommodation includes en-suite rooms with private balconies, while the property provides Wi-Fi, restaurant and bar facilities, outdoor seating, a terrace, garden areas, picnic facilities and private parking. The lodge also uses solar energy for water heating, lighting and refrigeration. Dining and outdoor experiences form an important part of the property's offering. The Garden Grounds provide an open-air setting within the lodge’s 24-acre estate, surrounded by the natural savannah landscape of Kidepo. The grounds can accommodate outdoor gatherings, relaxed group activities, private receptions and social functions, with space for guests to move between garden seating and more informal gathering areas. The garden also incorporates a campfire setting where guests can gather in the evenings for conversation, storytelling and traditional experiences around the fire. The outdoor environment can additionally support dining and group experiences arranged by the lodge, including campfire meals and other open-air activities.

Gazebo

The gazebo provides a sheltered outdoor gathering area within the lodge grounds, offering a more defined space for small groups while retaining an open connection to the surrounding landscape. The flexible layout allows tables and seating to be arranged around the needs of the group, while the integrated bar supports refreshments and hosted events.
