Aston Hall Hotel gives us the character of an 18th-century country house combined with flexible facilities for business and private events. Set across approximately 55 acres of gardens, meadows and fields in Aston near Sheffield, our property provides a peaceful countryside setting while remaining conveniently located just off Junction 31 of the M1. Our event spaces range from intimate rooms for around 20–30 guests to the Lagonda Suite, our largest function room, which can accommodate up to 250 people. For a more contemporary setting, our Virage Suite was added in 2018 and can accommodate up to 100 guests for a seated meal or 150 for a party. We are licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, with our outdoor Pagoda providing an alternative ceremony setting between April and September, subject to registrar arrangements and suitable weather. Our events include conferences, corporate meetings, weddings, private dining, birthdays, anniversaries, proms, baby showers and other celebrations. For business gatherings, we provide Wi-Fi, screens, projectors, flipcharts, refreshments and catering packages. Whether you are planning a conference, wedding, private dinner or celebration, Aston Hall Hotel offers the flexibility of modern event facilities alongside the atmosphere and outdoor space of a traditional country estate, with excellent road connections to Sheffield, Rotherham and the wider Yorkshire region.
The Lagonda Suite is Aston Hall's largest dedicated function room and overlooks the hotel's landscaped lawns and surrounding countryside. The suite can be divided so that part of the room can be used for smaller events, a band or civil ceremonies. It also includes a large dance floor, private toilets and access to the rear gardens and patio. The space is regularly used for weddings, conferences, private dining, proms and celebrations.
Built in 2018, the Virage Suite is Aston Hall's modern dedicated event space. It has a reception area with the Virage bar, a terrace overlooking countryside, private toilets, a large dance floor and a self-contained kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and views of the surrounding landscape. The flexible layout allows the room to be configured for weddings, conferences, private dining and celebrations.
The Drawing Room is one of Aston Hall's smaller private-event spaces and is intended for intimate gatherings and dining. The hotel currently lists it alongside the Library as one of its smaller celebration rooms, with a maximum of 30 guests. Third-party venue information gives additional configurations, including theatre and boardroom layouts, but the hotel's own current celebration material is the safer source for the principal capacity figure.
The Library is located inside the main building beside reception. Its defining feature is its collection of bookcases and books, some associated with the history of Aston Hall before it became a hotel. The room can be configured around an oval table, casual seating or theatre-style seating. The hotel positions it for celebrations, conferences, private dining, proms and weddings.
The Pagoda is Aston Hall's outdoor ceremony setting, positioned on the front lawns with the historic hotel providing the backdrop. It is licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies between April and September. The ceremony remains subject to arrangements with Rotherham Registry Office, and adverse weather can require the ceremony to move indoors. The hotel specifically markets the Pagoda for weddings.
