The Carriage Hall is a striking 19th-century Victorian railway goods shed from 1895, restored by the Perkins Family into an exclusive events and wedding venue. Located in Plumtree, Nottinghamshire, it blends rustic heritage with contemporary design, featuring double-height arched windows, rural views, and capacity for up to 120 seated guests.
Dating back to 1895, this charming Victorian goods shed located along the drive from the former Plumtree railway station (now renowned Perkins Bar & Bistro) was sympathetically restored by Perkins Family using a mixture of traditional and contemporary materials and design styles, to create a truly unique and striking wedding venue.
The beautiful main hall with historic arched windows, brick walls, original oak beams and large double-height glazed openings; allowing the countryside to flood in; create an idyllic setting for your celebration. As the night draws in, the soft glow from the subtly lit grounds will help create a warm and intimate atmosphere.
Overlooking the main hall is the mezzanine which provides the perfect space for reception drinks and canapés in the cooler months. With leather armchairs, comfy sofas and intimate lighting, guests can retreat later in the day but not miss any of the celebration.
Along the connecting bridge across the main entrance is the intimate Saunders room which provides quiet seating and is complete with balcony overlooking the gardens.
