The Courtyard Barns is a rustic, family-run wedding and event venue located on a working farm in the ancient village of Wartnaby, just north of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. Centered around a sun-lit, south-facing courtyard garden, the 16th-century stone property sits right next to a charming 12th-century village church.
This is the main celebration and party barn. This 16th-century structure features historic oak beams, brick floors, and vaulted ceilings. It typically acts as the primary space for your civil ceremony, indoor dining, or the evening dance floor.
The Granary is a rustic, character-filled indoor space designed primarily for reception drinks, mingling, and smaller breakout gatherings.
The Courtyard is a central, sun-lit outdoor courtyard garden bordered by the ancient stone structures. It is ideal for open-air welcome drinks, garden lawn games, outdoor socialising, and photoshoots.
The Cart Sheds is a covered outdoor seating areas built right into the courtyard. They provide a sheltered, alfresco entertaining option if your guests want to get out of the direct sun or light rain without going fully indoors.
A separate, dedicated back-of-house barn reserved entirely for your external catering suppliers to prep meals out of sight.
