We are a historic 16th-century Scots Tower House and the ancestral home of Clan Armstrong, situated in the Esk Valley near Canonbie. We offer visitors an opportunity to explore the history of the Border Reivers and experience our unique historic setting. We also provide private hire of the entire tower, giving groups exclusive access to the building and our visitor centre, together with a private guided tour. Our intimate setting makes us particularly suited to small private events and weddings, with our wedding licence allowing up to 40 participants. We provide guided tours, audio tours, Wi-Fi, toilet facilities, a small coffee bar, gift shop and parking. Our grounds and ground-floor facilities are accessible, although the historic upper levels have limited accessibility because of the building's original structure. We welcome group visits, educational visits and private events, offering a distinctive historic setting for visitors looking for an experience centred on Scottish heritage, the Armstrong Clan and the Border Reiver story.

We offer our small coffee bar for refreshments during visits, with hot drinks and sweet biscuits available. We also provide indoor seating for approximately 12 people and outdoor picnic seating.

The outside area features dramatic 16th-century stone masonry, open grassy areas, and rural Borderlands scenery that provide a perfect backdrop for outdoor photography, bagpipe welcomes, and dynamic historical reenactments.
