University of Sheffield – Conference & Events

@rhkm7b

The University of Sheffield offers one of Sheffield's largest and most diverse academic conference and events portfolios through its WithUS hospitality and events operation. Rather than being confined to a single event building, the portfolio brings together a wide range of University venues, including the Diamond Building, Wave, Octagon Centre, Firth Court and Firth Hall, INOX and Jonas Hotel. The facilities support conferences, exhibitions, seminars, meetings, training programmes, networking events, dinners, weddings and other private functions. The current Sheffield conference directory records a total capacity of up to 1,200 delegates across 28 meeting rooms, with 10 dedicated breakout rooms. The Diamond contains several lecture theatres, while the newly developed Wave building provides five lecture theatres with capacities ranging from 120 to 400 alongside 16 breakout rooms. The University also offers specialist venues such as the Octagon Centre, a major multipurpose conference and music venue, and Firth Hall, an Edwardian Grade II-listed space suitable for lectures, concerts, formal dinners and weddings. Catering is provided through the University's WithUS hospitality operation, while conference packages can include event coordination, AV equipment, refreshments, lunch, Wi-Fi and parking. The portfolio is particularly suitable for large academic and corporate conferences requiring multiple rooms and breakout facilities.
