Leopold Hotel Sheffield is a four-star boutique hotel occupying a beautifully restored former 19th-century grammar/technical school in the heart of Sheffield's Leopold Square. The Grade II listed building combines original architectural features, oak panelling and historic character with modern hotel and meeting facilities. Its central location places it within easy walking distance of Sheffield's transport links, universities, restaurants, theatres and other city-centre venues. The hotel has four dedicated meeting and event suites: Bessemer, Faraday, Oak and Library. These range from intimate interview and boardroom facilities to the Oak Suite, which can accommodate up to 75 delegates theatre-style. All four rooms provide natural daylight, while meeting facilities include Wi-Fi and presentation equipment. The Oak Suite is the largest and most distinctive room, retaining original oak panelling from its former use as the Central Technical School Board of Directors' room. The Library offers a more contemporary and flexible environment, while Bessemer and Faraday are designed for smaller meetings and discussions. The hotel also has 89 bedrooms, a fitness suite, bar/lounge, terrace and breakfast restaurant. It is licensed for civil ceremonies, with wedding/civil-ceremony capacities ranging from 14 in Faraday to 60 in Oak.
The Oak Suite is Leopold Hotel's largest and most characterful event room. Originally used as the Central Technical School Board of Directors' room, it retains substantial original oak panelling. Its 75-person theatre capacity and 90-person reception capacity make it suitable for conferences, dinners, ceremonies, presentations and private events.
The Library is a flexible mid-sized meeting and event space with a more contemporary character than the historic Oak Suite. It accommodates up to 40 theatre-style delegates and 40 for dinner. The room is suitable for brainstorming sessions, training, meetings, presentations, smaller dinners and civil ceremonies.
The Bessemer Suite is an intimate meeting and presentation room located close to the hotel's main lobby. Its original oak doors connect toward the Leopold Bar and terrace. Designed for interviews, board meetings and small presentations, it accommodates up to 20 theatre-style delegates and offers a comfortable private setting.
The Faraday Suite is a compact boardroom-style meeting room designed for small-group discussions, meetings and training. It can accommodate up to 20 theatre-style delegates. Its historic character includes an original fireplace and school memorabilia, making it a particularly distinctive small meeting environment.
