Crater Safari Lodge

Crater Safari Lodge is an eco-friendly safari lodge overlooking Lake Nyinabulitwa, situated close to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. The property occupies a hillside position above the crater lake, with the accommodation and communal areas arranged to make use of the surrounding landscape. The lodge combines thatched chalets and pool-facing cabanas with a central main area containing an open-plan lounge, dining area and intimate bar. The property works particularly well for smaller corporate retreats, workshops, group meetings, private celebrations, weddings and residential gatherings where accommodation, meals and activities can be combined in one setting. The lodge's event offering is less formal than that of a purpose-built conference hotel, but it provides several usable settings across the main lodge, boma, gardens, pool area and lakeside environment. The setting also allows event programmes to incorporate activities around Kibale and the surrounding crater lakes. Chimpanzee trekking, Bigodi Wetland walks, crater-lake activities, hiking, cultural visits, tea and coffee plantation excursions and other experiences can be arranged during a stay. This makes the property particularly suited to residential retreats and incentive-style group programmes where the event extends beyond a single meeting session.
