Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel is a historic country-house hotel situated in the countryside at Badsworth, near Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The manor's history dates to 1610, when Samuel Saltonstal began construction of the house that would eventually become Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel. The property now combines historic architecture and landscaped grounds with modern accommodation, dining and conference facilities. The venue is particularly well suited to corporate conferences, meetings, away days, residential retreats, weddings, private functions and team-building events. Its principal conference facilities comprise the Cawthorne Suite and Lawrence Suite, each measuring 16m × 11m and accommodating up to 150 delegates theatre-style, 80 cabaret-style or 40 boardroom-style. Each has air conditioning, a ceiling-mounted LCD projector, a 10-foot screen, full AV equipment and an attached conservatory leading towards the gardens and patio. The two large suites can also be combined to create a larger function room capable of accommodating 240 delegates theatre-style or up to 160 cabaret-style according to the current official venue information. For smaller meetings, the Oak Room provides an intimate period setting, while the Rose Room is another smaller meeting space identified in current corporate material. The hotel has 28 bedrooms, extensive gardens, free parking for more than 150 cars, EV charging, catering, a Jacobean Pub and dedicated event management.
The Cawthorne Suite is one of Rogerthorpe Manor's two principal large conference rooms. Measuring 16m by 11m, it provides air conditioning, a ceiling-mounted LCD projector, 10-foot screen and full AV equipment. Its attached conservatory opens onto the gardens and patio, providing additional space for breaks, networking and outdoor activities.
The Lawrence Suite is a large conference and event room matching the Cawthorne Suite in its published dimensions and principal capacities. It includes air conditioning, ceiling-mounted LCD projection, a 10-foot screen and full AV equipment. Its attached conservatory provides additional private space and connects the meeting environment with the hotel's gardens.
The Oak Room is a small, characterful meeting space within the original historic part of Rogerthorpe Manor. It features a high ceiling, feature fireplace, original mullioned windows overlooking the grounds and original oak-panelled walls. Its intimate atmosphere makes it particularly appropriate for board meetings, interviews and focused executive discussions
Rose Room is a smaller meeting space suitable for up to 16 delegates. A third-party venue database gives older configurations of approximately 25–30 theatre-style, depending on setup.
