Sandal Rugby Union Football Club is a community sports venue located at Milnthorpe Green on Standbridge Lane in Sandal, Wakefield. In addition to its rugby facilities, the club makes its clubhouse and function spaces available for private and organised events. Its official venue-hire information promotes the site for parties, meetings, celebrations, wedding receptions, corporate events and sporting activities. The venue has three function rooms, providing flexibility for different types and sizes of gatherings. The largest specifically documented room is the Milnthorpe Room, which can accommodate up to 100 people in theatre-style seating and up to 120 for a buffet, with dining capacity of 50. The club also has two fully stocked bars, extensive outdoor areas and a large on-site car park. Outdoor space can be used for sports-related activities, team-building events and summer gatherings. The combination of indoor function rooms, bars, outdoor facilities and parking makes Sandal RUFC particularly appropriate for community celebrations, birthday parties, meetings, corporate gatherings, sports events and private functions.
The Milnthorpe Room is Sandal RUFC's principal documented function space. It accommodates up to 80 seated guests, 100 in theatre-style configuration and 120 for a buffet. The room is suitable for parties, meetings, celebrations and larger private functions, making it the strongest option for events requiring the club's greatest indoor capacity.
The Chevet Suite is one of Sandal RUFC's three principal function rooms. It provides an additional indoor space for private events, meetings and celebrations alongside the larger Milnthorpe Room. The club identifies it as a dedicated function space.
The Castle Lounge is the third named function space at Sandal RUFC. It forms part of the club's private-hire offering and provides an alternative to the Milnthorpe Room and Chevet Suite.
