Victoria Hall Saltaire is a historic Grade II* listed event and community venue located in the centre of Saltaire, within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally opened by Sir Titus Salt in 1871 as a centre for recreation, culture and learning, the building continues to serve a broad range of community, cultural and commercial functions. Today it is available for weddings, civil ceremonies, conferences, meetings, dinner dances, parties, performances, festivals and community events. The venue contains five individually hireable rooms: the large Main Hall and the York, Glen, Evans and Dale Rooms. The Main Hall provides more than 296 square metres of floor space and features a large stage, Victorian balcony, 10-metre-high ceiling and fully sprung dance floor. It can accommodate up to 350 people in theatre-style seating and approximately 180 for a banquet. The smaller rooms provide flexible options for meetings, breakout sessions, boardroom events and smaller celebrations. Victoria Hall also offers AV equipment, Wi-Fi, microphones, sound systems, projector and screen hire, refreshments and an in-house licensed bar. Outside caterers are permitted subject to the venue's catering policy. The building has lift access to all floors and strong public-transport connections, with Saltaire railway station nearby.
The spectacular Main Hall is the venue's crowning jewel, featuring an ornate, double-height ceiling and a fully sprung Victorian dance floor. Complete with a majestic performance stage and a grand balcony, this dramatic space accommodates up to 300 guests for large-scale weddings, concerts, and theatrical productions.
The elegant York Room is widely celebrated for its distinctive peach and pink color palette and large architectural windows. Offering beautiful views over the surrounding historic village, it hosts up to 150 guests, making it a favorite for mid-sized wedding breakfasts, formal banquets, and lively evening reception parties.
Exuding a bright and airy atmosphere, the Glen Room features expansive windows providing tranquil views toward Salts Mill and Shipley Glen. This peaceful space accommodates up to 80 standing guests, making it the perfect setting for intimate daytime civil wedding ceremonies, networking events, or corporate conferences.
The Evans Room is a flexible secondary function room within Victoria Hall. It is suitable for smaller celebrations, meetings, workshops and group activities and can accommodate up to approximately 100 people according to the venue's current party information. Its smaller scale provides an alternative to the Main Hall for more intimate events.
The Dale Room is Victoria Hall's smallest identified function room. It is particularly suitable for boardroom meetings, small talks, breakout sessions and supporting functions. The venue's conference information gives capacity for approximately 20 people in boardroom configuration or up to 30 for smaller theatre-style talks.
