Our Lady of Africa Conference Centre

Our Lady of Africa Conference Centre is a Catholic-affiliated conference and accommodation facility in Lilongwe, Malawi. The centre has hosted conferences, workshops, leadership programmes, training sessions and meetings involving Catholic organizations, civil-society participants and regional groups. Its use as a conference facility is documented over a number of years, including regional and national gatherings. In 2018, the centre hosted an East African Regional Leadership Conference organized by Young Christian Workers, bringing together participants from Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. The programme focused on youth leadership, entrepreneurship and skills development. The centre has also hosted national training programmes. A pastoral-agents conference involving representatives from Malawi's eight Catholic dioceses was held there in November 2018, while an academic/professional workshop in 2017 used the centre for reflective learning activities. More recently, the Catholic Youth Council of Malawi selected the centre for its February 2026 quarterly meeting, demonstrating that the facility remains in active use for organized meetings and conferences.
