Nchalo Sports Club is a privately operated sports and leisure facility situated within the Illovo Sugar Estate at Nchalo in Chikwawa District, Southern Malawi. The club is associated with the Nchalo golf course and provides a recreational setting within the Lower Shire Valley. Malawi Tourism describes the Nchalo sugar estate as having a sports club incorporating a golf course, while the Chikwawa District Physical Development Plan identifies the sports club, golf course and leisure club as privately owned by Illovo. The club has a long-established role in the local sporting and social environment. It regularly hosts golf tournaments, including corporate-sponsored invitational competitions. In 2025, for example, the Kingfisher Insurance Brokers & Consultants Invitational Golf Tournament attracted 70 golfers to Nchalo Sports Club. Earlier tournaments at the club attracted fields of 72 and 76 golfers, demonstrating its ability to accommodate substantial sporting gatherings. Beyond golf, available descriptions identify a clubhouse, restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts and en-suite accommodation. The club has also been used for business and civic gatherings: in 2024, Malawi's President was scheduled to engage business leaders from the Lower Shire at Nchalo Sports Club.
