The Faversham gives us a distinctive and versatile setting for events in Leeds, situated on Springfield Mount close to the University of Leeds and within easy reach of the city centre. Our independently owned, award-winning venue occupies a characterful historic building that has evolved from its origins as a hotel into a dedicated multi-purpose events space. Original architectural features sit alongside industrial and contemporary design, creating an atmosphere that feels very different from a conventional hotel conference venue. We offer four principal event areas: The Main Room, The Lounge, The Conservatory and The Terrace. These spaces can be combined for exclusive hire, allowing organisers to create separate areas for dining, meetings, ceremonies, networking, entertainment and outdoor activities. Our Main Room accommodates up to 300 standing guests, while the Conservatory can host up to 100 standing or 60 for a private dinner. The Terrace provides additional outdoor space for up to 150 guests. We host corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, private celebrations, parties, awards dinners, product launches, summer and Christmas parties, photoshoots, fashion shows and other exclusive-hire occasions. Our event service includes in-house catering, bar facilities, AV equipment, staging, PA equipment, furniture, Wi-Fi and dedicated event management, giving organisers the support and flexibility needed to create a memorable event at The Faversham.
The Main Room is the central event space at The Faversham and has a strong connection with the venue's history as a live-music location. It features restored timber flooring, large windows, exposed brickwork, a stage, PA and AV system, disco lighting and a refurbished bar. The combination makes it particularly flexible for entertainment-led, corporate and social events.
The Conservatory is one of The Faversham's most distinctive spaces. It retains an original glass roof with hanging foliage, Victorian tiled flooring, a living wall and its own stylish bar. Direct access to the Terrace allows organisers to combine indoor and outdoor areas. The space also has an in-house music system and is particularly suited to ceremonies and intimate events.
The Lounge is a characterful space with high ceilings, detailed architraves and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Its vintage and industrial furnishings, combined with oversized plants, give it a more intimate character than the Main Room. The venue specifically identifies it as suitable for breakout use, larger meetings, relaxed networking and intimate wedding ceremonies.
The Terrace provides The Faversham's principal outdoor event environment. It is designed for summer gatherings, cocktail-style events, BBQs and team-building activities. When booked as part of the appropriate event arrangement, the Conservatory is included as an indoor contingency space, providing useful protection against unpredictable weather.
