Donington Park Farmhouse is our family-run barn wedding and events venue, located between Melbourne and Castle Donington on the historic Donington Estate. We have been hosting barn weddings and celebrations since 1984, with our 18th-century Threshing Barn providing an authentic setting filled with original character and rustic details. Our exclusive-use Barn Venue includes the Threshing Barn, Hitching Room, Pig Sties, Granary, Bar Area and Courtyard Garden. We also provide 25 acres of grounds, including woodland, fields, gardens and countryside backdrops for photography. Our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests for a formal wedding breakfast and up to 300 guests for a more casual food service and evening celebration. We offer 20 bedrooms across the Farmhouse, Courtyard and Stables, with five bedrooms included in venue hire. Our in-house chefs provide catering, while our dedicated wedding coordinators help manage the day. We are also wheelchair accessible, dog friendly and equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Donington Park Farmhouse’s Threshing Barn is our main celebration space, dating back to the 1720s. We use it for ceremonies, wedding receptions and evening parties, with exposed brickwork, original beams, integrated sound and a dancefloor.
Our Hitching Room is an intimate ceremony space within the Barn complex. We welcome up to 80 guests here, with natural light, exposed brick walls and vintage glass pendant lighting creating a warm, characterful setting.
Our Pig Sties are original structures that we have transformed into a distinctive dining room. We retain the original red-brick walls and antique troughs, creating a memorable setting for wedding breakfasts and dining.
Our Bar Area gives guests a relaxed place to socialise, with cosy seating, traditional barrels and a log fire during winter. We keep the bar open until midnight while celebrations continue.
Our Courtyard Garden is an exclusive-use outdoor space at the heart of the venue. We provide it for drinks, canapés, lawn games, photographs and relaxed outdoor moments throughout the celebration.
