Grand Opera House York

Since 1902, Grand Opera House York has provided everyone with a historic setting in the heart of York for live entertainment and shared experiences. Our Grade II listed theatre combines traditional character with facilities designed to welcome modern audiences and a wide range of performances. We present an extensive programme covering West End theatre, musicals, plays, comedy, concerts, dance, opera, pantomime, family events and talks. Our auditorium is supported by several public areas, including our foyer, bars and Ambassador Lounge, where guests can enjoy refreshments before performances and during intervals. Accessibility remains an important part of our venue, with accessible facilities, hearing-loop provision, accessible equipment and step-free access to the Stalls through our King Street entrance.
