Greenhill Hotel is our beautiful Georgian mansion set within nine acres of peaceful parkland near Wigton in Cumbria. Built in 1804 as a private residence, our historic property provides an elegant and welcoming setting for weddings, celebrations, business events and private gatherings. We are proud of our reputation as a popular wedding venue, and our team works closely with couples to create a celebration that reflects their plans and preferences. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and can provide spaces for both intimate occasions and large celebrations. Our facilities include a fully appointed function suite with a private bar, large dance floor and private entrance, alongside smaller meeting and event rooms. We also offer restaurant and lounge-bar facilities, guest accommodation, free parking and Wi-Fi. Whether you are planning a wedding, birthday, engagement party, conference, product launch or private celebration, we aim to provide a comfortable setting, attentive service and flexible event arrangements.
Our Function Suite is our principal large-event space, designed for weddings, receptions, conferences, private parties and larger celebrations. We provide a private bar, large dance floor and private entrance, giving organisers a dedicated and flexible environment for their events. We can accommodate up to 300 delegates in theatre style and up to 240 in cabaret style, while our private-party arrangements can accommodate up to 400 guests.
Our Conservatory provides a bright and versatile setting for smaller meetings, presentations and gatherings. We can accommodate up to 24 people in boardroom or cabaret arrangements and up to 40 delegates in theatre style. It works particularly well when organisers need a more intimate space while still having access to our wider hotel facilities.
Our Library is our smallest dedicated meeting space and is suited to intimate business meetings, discussions and smaller professional gatherings. We can accommodate up to 12 people in a boardroom arrangement, providing a quieter environment for focused conversations and meetings that require a more private setting.
