Salt Market Social is a distinctive industrial setting on North Shields Fish Quay, where we bring together great atmosphere, flexible spaces and memorable events. Our converted factory venue has a character of its own, giving celebrations a relaxed and sociable feel while providing plenty of room for entertainment, dining and dancing. We host weddings, live music, comedy shows, daytime clubbing, street-food gatherings, night markets and a wide range of private celebrations. Our main upstairs space accommodates between 80 and 400 guests, making it suitable for larger gatherings, while our downstairs Loading Bay provides a more intimate option. We have a well-stocked bar, stage, dance floor and DJ van, with food options available through our catering arrangements. We have built our reputation around bringing people together and creating an energetic event atmosphere. Whether you are planning a wedding, birthday, work party or live event, we can adapt our space around your plans and help create an occasion that feels personal, lively and memorable.

The Loading Bay gives a more intimate setting for smaller celebrations and events. We provide our own well-stocked bar, DJ van, stage and dance floor, while food can be served from the Airstream kitchen by MEDHead for a relaxed social experience.
