Floors Castle is our magnificent historic home and estate situated on the outskirts of Kelso in the beautiful Scottish Borders. We are Scotland’s largest inhabited castle and remain a much-loved family home while also welcoming visitors and hosting a range of memorable events. Our estate combines grand historic interiors with extensive gardens, woodland, riverside walks and spectacular views across the surrounding countryside. We offer a distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations, corporate occasions, outdoor performances, group visits and bespoke events. Our four-acre Walled Garden, expansive lawns and wider estate provide considerable flexibility for outdoor gatherings and marquee events, while our historic castle creates an impressive backdrop for special occasions. We also provide cafés, parking, walking routes, cycling opportunities and family-friendly facilities. Our team can arrange private tours and bespoke estate event and activity packages, allowing us to tailor experiences to different groups and occasions. We aim to make every visit and event at Floors Castle memorable.
Our Queen Victoria’s Summerhouse, also known as Queen’s House, sits within the Walled Garden and has a special connection to Queen Victoria’s historic visit. We provide this charming garden setting as part of the estate experience and it can create a distinctive backdrop for photographs and intimate occasions.
Our Courtyard Café provides indoor and outdoor seating and can accommodate larger groups by reserving an area within the café. Outside our normal open season, we can also make the café available for private events, making it useful for smaller gatherings and group occasions.
