Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial

Set on the former RAF Elvington site near York, the Yorkshire Air Museum combines aviation history, heritage buildings and flexible event facilities across a 20-acre site. Our setting provides a distinctive backdrop for meetings, training, corporate events, weddings, celebrations, photography and filming. We offer a dedicated Halifax Suite with modern meeting and presentation facilities, while our Astra Cinema provides a 42-seat setting with audiovisual equipment. Our aircraft, hangars, historic buildings and outdoor areas create an unusual environment for product launches and special events. Visitors and event guests can also enjoy Café 77, picnic areas, a woodland walk, playground and extensive aviation displays. We provide catering and refreshments on site and can arrange group visits and specialised tours. As the UK's largest independent aviation museum and an Allied Air Forces Memorial, we combine event facilities with a unique historic atmosphere and an extensive collection of aircraft and aviation-related exhibits.
