Thirsk and Sowerby Town Hall

Our Town Hall provides a welcoming community setting in Westgate, serving the residents of Thirsk and Sowerby for cultural, recreational, charitable and community activities. We offer a large hall alongside smaller spaces, including a smaller annexe, large annexe and upstairs meeting room, giving groups flexibility for different types of gatherings. Our facilities are used for meetings, community activities, children's parties, performances and other local events, while the building also serves as a regular meeting place for Thirsk Town Council and Sowerby Parish Council. We aim to provide practical and affordable facilities that support local organisations, residents and community groups. Accessibility is also an important part of our provision, with mobility scooters and wheelchairs accommodated, although the upstairs area is not accessible. Whether you are organising a community meeting, social activity, children's event or local performance, we provide a useful central venue with several spaces that can be adapted to suit different occasions and group requirements.
