Lartington Hall

Set in the Teesdale countryside near Barnard Castle, Lartington Hall is a historic country-house setting surrounded by 72 acres of parkland. Our Grade II* listed hall dates back to the 15th century and combines period architecture with comfortable, modern spaces for weddings and extended celebrations. Inside, we have a grand ballroom, dining room, intimate chapel, lounges and other characterful rooms, while our formal gardens and wider parkland give couples several options for outdoor ceremonies and photographs. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 140 guests for dining or ceremonies, while the Old Chapel seats up to 130 for a ceremony. We offer private hire and can turn the celebration into a two-day experience, with accommodation in the main hall, courtyard rooms and our five-bedroom Stable Lodge. The Stable Lodge also has its own courtyard, BBQ and pizza stations, terrace and hot tub. Our wedding team works with couples to create a celebration around their plans and preferred style.
