Located in Coventry's historic Cathedral Quarter, St Mary's Guildhall provides a distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations, corporate meetings and larger events. Our Guildhall dates back to the 14th century and combines medieval architecture, historic interiors and modern event services. We offer a variety of spaces, from intimate meeting rooms and private dining areas to the impressive Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 110 guests for banqueting or receptions. Our Medieval Kitchen provides a distinctive setting for reception drinks and canapés, while the Undercroft houses our Tales of Tea restaurant beneath its vaulted ceiling. We provide on-site catering and event support for corporate and private functions, including meetings, conferences, product launches, parties, dinners and wedding celebrations. Our central Coventry location places us close to public transport and city-centre facilities. The venue can also accommodate smaller occasions, with intimate afternoon tea experiences available from 10 guests.
Our Great Hall is the principal historic event space, retaining its medieval layout, raised dais and famous Coventry Tapestry. It accommodates up to 110 guests for banquets or receptions and is suitable for weddings and large celebrations.
Our Tales of Tea restaurant occupies the historic vaulted Undercroft and provides an intimate dining setting. This has a capacity of 30 to 55 guests for private dining.
Our Drapers Room provides a smaller setting for group conferences, meetings and lunches within the historic Guildhall.
Our Fullers' Room is a smaller meeting space overlooking Bayley Lane and the ruins of Coventry's former cathedral. It is particularly suited to interviews and smaller meetings.
