Plaisterers’ Hall combines neoclassical design, decorative chandeliers, atmospheric lighting and adjoining event spaces to accommodate occasions ranging from small meetings to large celebrations. Our Great Hall provides an impressive backdrop for conferences, awards ceremonies, dinners, receptions and weddings, while the Livery Hall, Humber Room and Mott Room offer additional options for meetings, catering, breakout sessions and more intimate gatherings. The venue’s practical layout allows different parts of an event to take place in connected spaces, helping guests move between presentations, dining and networking. We also offer an outdoor terrace area with historic surroundings, as well as event production facilities including sound, lighting, staging, projection and high-speed Wi-Fi. Our exclusive-hire approach and dedicated catering arrangements allow organisers to tailor the venue to their event requirements, from professional business functions to personal celebrations.
The venue’s principal event space features neoclassical décor, decorative ceiling details, adjustable atmospheric lighting and natural daylight. It is suited to large conferences, awards ceremonies, banquets, weddings and receptions, with adjoining rooms and access to the terrace.
The Livery Hall is the largest of the secondary rooms and adjoins the Great Hall. It can be used for dining, receptions, presentations, breakout activities or a separate drinks area during a larger event.
The Mott Room is a smaller room adjacent to the Great Hall, suitable for private meetings, intimate dining and conference breakout sessions. It provides a more contained setting than the principal hall.
The Humber Room is suited to small meetings, private dining and breakout sessions. Its position alongside the Great Hall makes it useful as a separate catering or discussion room during larger conferences and celebrations.
The terrace and adjoining grassland area can provide an outdoor extension to events in the Great Hall, particularly for drinks, fresh-air breaks and informal guest gatherings.
