Globe Gallery

Globe Gallery provides a welcoming contemporary art space at the heart of North Shields Cultural Quarter. Since our establishment in 1994, we have championed accessible art and worked to create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to experience, discuss and participate in creative activities. Our gallery has recently returned to its original home at 97 Howard Street following an extensive renovation, bringing our organisation back to a location with strong historical and community connections. We present exhibitions featuring emerging, established and internationally recognised artists, while our wider programme includes creative workshops, artist-led activities and community projects. Our renovated building includes exhibition space and a community room designed to support artist workshops and health and wellbeing projects. We also collaborate with organisations and artists across North Tyneside, extending our cultural programme beyond our own walls. Through exhibitions, events and creative engagement, we provide an inclusive environment where art can encourage conversation, creativity, learning and connection.
