Guildhall Arts Centre provides a historic Victorian setting in the centre of Grantham for performances, conferences, meetings, workshops, receptions, parties and other events. Our Grade II listed building was formerly Grantham’s town hall and now combines a 210-seat theatre with a range of flexible rooms and event facilities. We welcome professional touring shows, local amateur productions, businesses, organisations and individuals using our spaces for meetings, workshops, fairs, conferences and private functions. Our facilities include professional theatre sound and lighting, a cinema screen, upright piano, dressing rooms, an induction loop, lift access and a professional kitchen. We also provide a coffee shop and bar, while certified external caterers can be brought in for suitable events. Our rooms can be hired in different configurations, with spaces ranging from smaller meeting rooms to the larger Ballroom and Theatre. We also hold a wedding licence and provide spaces suitable for ceremonies, receptions and parties. Our town-centre location offers good transport links with parking close by.
Our Theatre seats up to 210 people and hosts performances, workshops, lectures and seminars throughout the year. We provide professional sound and lighting, an upright piano, cinema screen, two dressing rooms with adjoining showers and toilets, and an induction loop.
Our Ballroom is a versatile historic space for weddings, receptions, parties and other events. We can provide a small stage, sprung dance floor, licensed bar, professional kitchen, sound and lighting equipment and lift access, with an Events Manager available to support bookings.
Our Studio 1 is one of our smaller flexible spaces for meetings, workshops and community activities. We make our studio facilities available for businesses, organisations and individuals requiring a practical room within the Arts Centre.
Our Studio 2 provides a smaller flexible setting within the Arts Centre for meetings, workshops and community activities. We offer the room as part of our wider range of spaces available for individual and organisational hire.
Our Studio 6 is one of our flexible studio spaces available for meetings, workshops and other community or organisational activities. We offer it as part of our wider room-hire facilities within the Arts Centre.
Our Studio 4 is a second-floor meeting space with lift access, suitable for meetings and lectures. We provide a 50-inch screen that can connect to a laptop or tablet through HDMI, with layouts for boardroom, classroom and informal gatherings.
Our Studio 7 provides another flexible studio option within the Arts Centre. We make our studio spaces available for meetings, workshops, community activities and other suitable bookings according to the requirements of the event.
Our Newton Room is a flexible ground-floor space beside the coffee shop, suitable for small performances, parties, exhibitions, lectures and meetings. We have removable sound walls that allow different room configurations and can create a more intimate atmosphere.
