Historic architecture and contemporary creativity come together in our Grade II* listed building in the centre of Huddersfield. Once the largest Wesleyan mission in the country, our venue has evolved into a vibrant home for theatre, live performance, artistic activity and community events. Today, we provide a distinctive setting for organisations and individuals looking to host gatherings in a creative environment.
Our three theatre spaces give us considerable flexibility. The Main House accommodates approximately 459–461 guests, while our Cellar Theatre can host up to 120 and the Attic Theatre up to 60. Alongside these performance spaces, we also provide flexible meeting areas, a gallery, bar and outdoor Courtyard.
Our programme spans drama, comedy, contemporary dance, circus, pantomime, music and community productions, while our venue-hire facilities allow us to accommodate conferences, meetings, workshops, rehearsals, parties, celebrations and festivals.
Our central Huddersfield location makes us easy to reach, with both the town's train and bus stations approximately a ten-minute walk away. This accessibility, combined with our varied spaces, makes us suitable for both local gatherings and events attracting visitors from further afield.
Whether you are planning a conference, creative workshop, rehearsal, celebration or live performance, we provide a characterful environment where historic surroundings and contemporary culture meet, giving your event a setting with genuine personality.
