Darley House is a lovingly restored Georgian house set within an acre of historic ornamental gardens in Darley Dale, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Our house combines period character with contemporary comfort, providing a spacious setting for families, friends and groups looking to spend time together. We offer six bedrooms, five bathrooms and four elegant reception rooms, alongside a generous kitchen and dining area designed for sociable gatherings. Our interiors retain the grandeur and proportions of the historic house while incorporating modern features such as underfloor heating and WiFi. The gardens are an important part of our character, with historic landscaping associated with Sir Joseph Paxton, including mature trees and formal garden features. We welcome groups for weekend, midweek and weekly stays, with the house particularly suited to family gatherings, celebrations and reunions. Our location also provides convenient access to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Matlock and the wider Peak District.
