The Engine Shed

We are The Engine Shed, a distinctive live-events and venue-hire space in the heart of Lincoln, developed from a historic railway engine shed originally built in 1875. Since opening in 2006, we have combined the character of our industrial heritage with modern facilities for entertainment, business and private events. We are particularly known for live music, comedy and club nights, while our flexible venue-hire options also support conferences, exhibitions, training days, dinners, awards and wedding receptions. Our facilities include industry-standard sound and lighting, a flexible stage, adaptable rooms, catering and technical support, allowing us to accommodate different event formats. We also operate The Platform, a separate versatile venue designed for live events, private hire and creative experiences. Our central location beside Lincoln’s Brayford Waterfront places us within easy reach of the city centre and Lincoln Central Station. We aim to provide organisers with a flexible setting backed by an experienced events team.
