Novotel York Centre is a four-star hotel and conference venue situated on Fishergate overlooking the River Foss, close to York's historic city walls and within walking distance of the city's major attractions. We combine accommodation, meetings, conferences, banqueting, dining and leisure facilities, making us suitable for both business and social events. Our conference operation consists of seven flexible meeting rooms, with the largest, the Fishergate Suite, providing approximately 200 square metres of event space and a maximum theatre capacity of 210 according to current Accor information. We can support smaller meetings as well as conferences, training sessions, presentations, weddings and celebrations. Accor currently states that our conference and banqueting facilities cater for meetings from as few as two people and events and weddings for up to 120 guests, although the individual meeting-room specifications provide a higher 210-seat theatre capacity for the largest room. We offer free Wi-Fi, on-site paid parking, wheelchair-accessible facilities, restaurant and bar facilities, a terrace, swimming pool and sauna. Our location close to York's historic centre makes us convenient for delegates, while the combination of accommodation and conference facilities is particularly useful for residential conferences and multi-day corporate events. We are therefore a strong mid-to-large conference option in York, particularly where accommodation and event facilities are required at the same property.
The Fishergate Suite is Novotel York Centre's largest conference space, providing approximately 200 m² of flexible event area. It is suitable for conferences, presentations, training, corporate events, receptions and larger meetings. The room can be configured in multiple layouts and provides the hotel's highest individual theatre capacity.
Meeting Room 1 is one half of the hotel's flexible Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 configuration. It is suitable for smaller corporate meetings, training, workshops and breakout sessions. It can also be combined with Meeting Room 2 to form a substantially larger event space.
Meeting Room 2 is the second component of the flexible 1 & 2 meeting-room configuration. It can operate independently or be combined with Meeting Room 1 for larger meetings. The combined space is appropriate for medium-sized presentations, training sessions, workshops and corporate gatherings.
Meeting Room 3 is a compact conference and meeting room suitable for small corporate meetings, training, workshops and breakout activity. It can operate independently or be combined with Meeting Room 4, giving organisers flexibility to create either an intimate meeting room or a larger conference space.
Meeting Room 4 is a 55 m² flexible meeting space that can accommodate small and medium-sized business events. It can be used independently for meetings and training or combined with Meeting Room 3. Its flexible configuration makes it useful as either a standalone room or breakout space.
Meeting Room 5 is a medium-sized 50 m² meeting space suitable for business meetings, training, presentations and smaller conferences. Its balanced capacity across classroom, U-shaped, boardroom, cabaret and theatre formats makes it one of the hotel's flexible standalone rooms.
Meeting Room 6 is the smallest of the individually specified Novotel York Centre conference rooms. At 43 m², it is designed for smaller meetings, training sessions, workshops and breakout activity. It provides flexible layouts and is particularly appropriate for smaller delegate groups requiring a dedicated private meeting room.
