Set beside the historic Huddersfield Narrow Canal in the Pennine countryside, our venue brings together heritage, music, arts and community activity in a distinctive canalside setting. We occupy the historic Standedge Visitor Centre, where the North of England Centre for Music & Arts provides a creative home for concerts, performances, music education and community programmes. Our building offers a flexible backdrop for weddings and cultural events, with exclusive wedding hire available on selected dates throughout the year. Guests can enjoy the character of the historic building, surrounding garden and canal-side landscape, while our café and bar provide a welcoming place to relax. We also offer opportunities to experience Standedge Tunnel through boat trips and explore the area's remarkable industrial and waterways heritage. Our work extends beyond events, with music lessons, ensembles, instrument making, repairs and community arts programmes forming an important part of what we do. We provide a memorable setting where heritage and creativity can come together.
