Located in Glasgow’s Merchant City, Trades Hall combines historic architecture with flexible facilities for modern events. Our Grand Hall is the principal large event space, featuring a seven-metre dome, rare West African avodire wood ceiling and an ornate gold frieze. The adjoining Saloon provides an elegant setting for intimate dining and receptions, while the Robert Adam Room offers a bright, recently refurbished environment for corporate events and smaller functions. Our Reception Room provides a more contemporary setting for meetings, seminars and receptions, and the North and South Galleries offer smaller spaces for meetings and breakout sessions. Guests can also enjoy the option of exclusive use of the entire building. With PA and presentation facilities, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, accessible facilities and established catering partners, we can accommodate events ranging from small gatherings to celebrations and conferences for up to 250 guests.

Grand Hall

The Saloon

The Saloon features mahogany-panelled walls, gilt lettering, restored stained glass, baroque chandeliers and a marble fireplace. It accommodates up to 80 theatre/reception, 60 dinner and 40 classroom.

Robert Adam Room

Our newly refurbished Robert Adam Room offers bright interiors, wooden floors, chandeliers and an optional bar area. It accommodates up to 80 theatre, 60 dinner and 150 reception, making it particularly flexible.

Reception Room

The Reception Room provides a contemporary setting with polished hardwood floors and AV facilities. It accommodates up to 80 theatre, 35 classroom, 60 dinner and 100 reception, supporting meetings and larger gatherings.

North Gallery

Our North Gallery is one of two adjoining second-floor gallery spaces. It provides a smaller setting for meetings, focus groups and breakout sessions, with capacity for up to 40 theatre, dinner or reception.

South Gallery

Our South Gallery mirrors the North Gallery and provides a similarly intimate environment for meetings and social gatherings. It accommodates up to 40 theatre, dinner or reception, with a hearing loop also available.
