Textile Centre of Excellence (TCoE)

The Textile Centre of Excellence (TCoE) is a specialist training, conferencing, research and textile-industry facility in Outlane, Huddersfield. It is a private, not-for-profit Group Training Association that works closely with textile manufacturers, businesses, educational institutions and public-sector organisations. Its activities include apprenticeships, professional training, research and development, consultancy and business support. The Centre moved to its current premises at The Old School, New Hey Road, Outlane, in September 2023. The former school building was transformed into a modern training and conferencing facility, fashion studio and open-plan office space. For event organisers, the venue is particularly relevant for professional and industry-focused events rather than weddings or general social functions. It can support business meetings, conferences, training sessions, seminars, workshops, presentations and networking. The Centre's textile-industry specialism also makes it particularly appropriate for fashion, manufacturing, textiles, sustainability and skills-development events. The organisation has a long-standing reputation within Yorkshire's textile sector and works with more than 100 member companies, primarily textile manufacturers. Its wider facilities include textile manufacturing, research/product-testing, fashion and business-incubation capabilities.
