Duncombe Park is one of Yorkshire's notable historic country estates, situated approximately one mile south-west of Helmsley in North Yorkshire and within the North York Moors National Park. We are the historic home of the Duncombe family and combine a Grade I-listed historic house with extensive landscaped gardens, parkland and natural surroundings. Our grounds provide a scenic and distinctive setting for weddings, corporate functions and special events. We specifically promote weddings, launch events and corporate functions, with our historic rooms providing a range of settings for meetings, wedding breakfasts, receptions and corporate entertaining. These include the Saloon, Stone Hall, Ladies Withdrawing Room, Butler's Pantry and North Pavilion, each offering its own character and atmosphere. For weddings, our Saloon can accommodate up to 120 guests for a wedding breakfast, making it our principal published indoor wedding space. Our historic rooms and wider estate also provide opportunities for corporate meetings, entertaining, product launches and bespoke events. Beyond private functions, our wider estate is capable of supporting major outdoor events. We host events such as the Duncombe Park Country Fair, Steam Fair, Ryedale Show and gravel cycling events, demonstrating the versatility and scale of our grounds. With our historic architecture, extensive gardens, countryside setting and flexible event environments, we are particularly suited to weddings, corporate functions, launch events, receptions, private celebrations and distinctive outdoor events.
The Saloon is the principal published indoor event space. Cvent lists it at approximately 2,700 sq ft with a maximum capacity of 120. Duncombe Park specifically describes it as the setting for a wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests.
The Stone Hall is another significant historic space. Cvent lists a maximum capacity of 108. It provides an impressive period setting and can be used alongside other rooms for larger events.
The Ladies Withdrawing Room is the smallest specifically capacity-listed room, with a maximum of 20 people. It is better suited to intimate meetings, small gatherings and breakout activities.
