The Wild Boar Estate is our characterful Lake District hotel set within 72 acres of beautiful private woodland near Windermere. We combine the atmosphere of a traditional country inn with comfortable accommodation, distinctive dining and flexible facilities for intimate events. Our Undermillbeck Room provides a private and exclusive setting for small weddings, meetings, conferences, private dining and special celebrations. For weddings, we can accommodate up to 22 guests and arrange the room for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and pre- and post-wedding celebrations. Our wider estate gives guests plenty to enjoy, from woodland trails and wildlife areas to our Grill & Smokehouse restaurant, cosy bar and lounge, home-brewed beer and outdoor experiences. We also provide free on-site parking and 32 individually styled bedrooms. For corporate occasions, we can combine our meeting facilities with team activities and experiences within our private woodland. We aim to create relaxed, memorable occasions surrounded by the character and natural beauty of the Lake District.
Our Undermillbeck Room is our private, exclusive-use event space with wooden flooring, exposed beams and a large focal fireplace. We use it for intimate weddings, meetings, conferences and private dining for up to 20 people, with weddings accommodating up to 22 guests.
Our lawned garden provides an outdoor area behind the hotel where guests can relax and enjoy our surroundings. We use the grounds as part of the wider Wild Boar experience and for outdoor elements of celebrations and activities.
Our Grill & Smokehouse is our main dining restaurant, where we serve seasonal food using local produce and flavours from our own smokehouse. We can incorporate dining here into celebrations and event experiences at the estate.
