Hotel Clementine is a boutique hotel located at 4–5 St Peter's Grove in Clifton, York. The property was formerly known as Marmadukes Town House Hotel and underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment before reopening as Hotel Clementine in 2021. The hotel combines Victorian architectural character with a Parisian-inspired interior design style and provides individually designed accommodation in a relatively intimate setting. Our hotel currently provides 27 bedrooms, including four-poster rooms, suites and garden-view accommodation. Facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi, private parking, breakfast, a residents' lounge, a bar and a private walled garden. Its location provides convenient access to York Minster, the Theatre Royal, the historic city centre and the Shambles.
This elegant, brightly lit dining space blends classic Victorian features with rich wood accents and beautiful floral wallpaper. Perfect for intimate wedding breakfasts, private birthday banquets, or corporate dinners, it offers a sophisticated backdrop that can comfortably accommodate fine dining layouts for up to 25 seated guests.
Featuring vibrant, jewel-toned walls, plush velvet seating, and historic fireplaces beneath grand chandeliers, these stylish communal lounges offer a distinct "Parisian chic meets Yorkshire" aesthetic. It functions as a luxurious, informal setting for fluid cocktail receptions, corporate mix-and-mingle events, or afternoon tea celebrations.
