The Engine Shed

The Engine Shed Wetherby is a distinctive events and wedding venue occupying a beautifully renovated Grade II listed former railway goods shed in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. Its historic railway architecture, exposed beams and industrial character have been combined with modern event infrastructure, creating a flexible venue for weddings, parties, conferences, networking events and corporate functions. The venue is conveniently located just off the A1 and is positioned centrally between York, Leeds and Harrogate. The venue has two principal event areas: The Main Room and The Mezzanine. The Main Room is the larger of the two and includes a hydraulic stage, professional sound and lighting, air conditioning, a private bar and dance floor. Its published configurations include up to 180 for dinner, 170 theatre-style, 150 cabaret and 300 for drinks. The Mezzanine is a smaller first-floor space with exposed beams, high ceilings, natural daylight, a private bar and dance floor. It can accommodate up to 48 for dinner, 120 theatre-style, 80 cabaret and 150 for drinks. For larger private events, the venue can be hired exclusively, with its own website advertising capacity for over 450 people and facilities including two licensed bars, two dance floors, a DJ booth, giant projector screen, hydraulic stage and professional sound and lighting.
